Real Wedding - Adrienne and Shaun

Adrienne and Shaun were an absolute dream to work alongside for the flowers and styling of their wedding day at Gabbinbar Homestead last month. Over the planning stages the styling for the day evolved, however Adrienne never changed her desire for a giant wreath as the ceremony backdrop in the gardens and an abundance of fresh romantic blooms in bold tones.

We had a wreath base custom made by our welders to ensure the construction would hold up to the weight of the flowers, foliage and oasis to be installed on the 2m high framework. Having it made from Aluminium also meant we were able to easily move the construction post ceremony into the reception space to be the feature behind the wedding cake.

Adrienne gorgeous dress was hand made by George Wu, and featured a nude underlay with French Lace appliqué , while her bridesmaids dressed in the most divine dusty blue gowns. Our custom made sheer ribbons draped from the girls bouquets, blowing in the wind captured to perfection within the images by photographer Lover of Mine Photography.

For the reception space within the conservatory at Gabbinbar Homestead our sheer soft blue runners were ruffled down the tables, with bold garden styled blooms within our stone vases. Our crystal candle holders added a beautiful mood within the space alongside the modern tea light holders, with the crystal drip trays catching all the wax drops. Our Grey French Style plates dressed the tables, along with custom made marble guest name tag coasters for each guest seat.

Later in the evening Adrienne and Shaun put on a show with fireworks when the cake cutting time arrived. We styled the backdrop with our Perspex stand and glass cake stand, making the mini cutting cake appear as if it was hovering in this own right. The giant wreath from the ceremony also became a main focal point within the reception space, as we moved and re-installed it post ceremony.

Florals featured heavily for their day with a custom made installation within the fountain, on the bikes, signage and swing.

Here are a few words from Adrienne on her feedback of our work from the day. We can't thank Adrienne and Shaun enough for allowing us to play an important role in their wedding day x

"Hi Roberta,

Oh my goodness.I can never ever thank you enough for the AMAZING styling and flowers for shaun and my wedding yesterday. was so disappointed I didn't manage to get a chance to tell you that I was just blown away by how beautiful everything was. That wreath. Wow. I could never have imagined anything more perfect, and the floral details everywhere around the home stead, the flowers for our hair, our bouquets were divine! The conservatory looked just beyond stunning. Every person at our wedding commented on how beautiful the whole thing was. We even moved the speeches in front of the wreath after the cake cutting, and it basically became the unofficial photo booth! I just don't have the words to thank you enough for everything you and Natalie both did, from meetings and helping me organise my ideas into an amazing day and night, all the work you put in, and I can not tell you how stunned I was with just how perfectly you captured a wedding that was more beautiful then I could have dreamt and felt so perfectly ME. I adored it all! Shaun has also being singing your praises, and has conceded that every little flower detail I wanted was worth it. I was so in love with all the touches of our left over fabric on the signs and canapé tables. It was all just wonderful, simply perfect, there is not a single thing that I would have changed. You're the best! Thank you so so much again! Adrienne"
